Windows XP/2000 - [Answered] Stop connect asking. posted in the Operating Systems forums; propably stupid question but how do I stop the computer from asking me if I wan't to connect to the internet with my default connection everytime something tries to connect ...

propably stupid question but how do I stop the computer from asking me if I wan't to connect to the internet with my default connection everytime something tries to connect to the internet, like opening html's offline which have ads etc?
It's kinda annoying and only started yesterday after I tampered around with the network

Hi Stepes, I'm assuming you have broadband internet connection?

If this is the case, open your browser (IE?) Select Tools -> Internet Options -> Connection Options -> and make sure "Never dial internet connection" or words to that effect is selected.

wonderful, thanks All fine again. yes I have broadband connection now. it's drivers must have changed something propably
