Angry Windows XP will not load - Desperate, tried everything. PLEASE OH PLEASE HELP!!!

Seriously. I've tried reformating, deleting and re-partitioning, and repair. Here's the situation: I unplugged my computer while moving my room around. I plugged it back into the same wall and it would no longer load my OS (XP Home) when I turned it back on. The last thing I did when I shut down was to click turn off, which had the little shield and the text saying Windows would update when I shut down.

You should know I have 2 hard drives with the SATA Raid configuration.

I have tried everything I can think of. When I try to re-install windows after deleting and re-partitioning: A) I insert my RAID drivers and hit F6 and it goes through everything all right and then reboots and says "error loading operating system" like it does every other time. B) I don't put in the drivers floppy and it doesn't find my hard drives and tells me to hit F3 to exit and reboots.

So does it come down to bad hard drives or what? It seems to recognize them when I insert the floppy because it says X mb free space on my C: drive partition, which I assume it derives from reading my hard drive?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me. I need this computer working for school or I am SCREWED! What do I do. Can I check easily for the hard drives to see if they are working?

Should I try something else first?

If the hard drives aren't working can I buy a single HDD instead of two and not use RAID from now on? Is this easy to do?

Hi ughsassin, welcome to the PCHF!

First thing to check, would be try each individual hard drive in non raid format.

Instructions on how to do this vary's from motherboard to motherboard.

What motherboard do you have?
