right dads laptop has a virus and its deleted stuff so now we cant get on the internet and can i just dump every thing and reboot it so as to clear every thing and just reinstall what we need

Are you trying to reinstall XP? If you are it is pretty easy.. Also I would not put my emaill addy on a puibic forum as spammers and such get email's from people putting there email addy on the web..
