Alright, Well every so often when im on my computer i get the little bubble thing that says im either low, or i have no virtual memory.
1st off. What is Virtual Memory?
2nd: I found the virtual memory thing on the System\Advanced\Preformance\Advanced thing. And i only have around 2552mbs left on my C drive, but i have a D drive that has around 50,000mbs so i switched it to that and i changed the "Intial Stage" to like 1500mbs and the Maximum to 3000mbs, but i still get this message. And everytime i try opening windows, programs and other stuff it just closes right away.
So what i wanna know is how do i fix this problem?

Hello that guy!
Welcome to PCHF To answer your first question I actually had to do some research. "For example, if you load the operating system, an email program, a Web browser and word processor into RAM simultaneously, 32 megabytes is not enough to hold it all. If there were no such thing as virtual memory, then once you filled up the available RAM your computer would have to say, "Sorry, you can not load any more applications. Please close another application to load a new one." With virtual memory, what the computer can do is look at RAM for areas that have not been used recently and copy them onto the hard disk. This frees up space in RAM to load the new application." Thats from "How stuff works" I put the link below if you wish to look at the article yourself. Now as to your real promlem I'm not sure but someone will be around to help you out in a jiffy or two. PJ http://www.howstuffworks.com/virtual-memory.htm

Hi ThatGuy, and welcome to the PCHF!
Can you please tell us what your computer is? and what you use it for... You shouldn't be running out of Virtual Memory just from opening a few programs. The above explanation provided by PraiseJah is 100% spot on
