my computer stops at the screen that has the type of bios and and it gives the size of the processor at the bottem it has press del to enter setup. pressing del don't do anything. if this is a serious problemi would like to get somethings off of the harddrive if i can thank you

Can you still get in safemode? (hit f8 when booting up) If not, then a repair install sounds like your best option atm: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...ps/doug92.mspx
