Windows XP/2000 - Help, my PC wont shut down! posted in the Operating Systems forums; When I go to shut my PC down, it wont, It simply freezes. Please help and tell me how I can fix this problem. Thanks....

Default Help, my PC wont shut down!
When I go to shut my PC down, it wont, It simply freezes. Please help and tell me how I can fix this problem.

Can you tell us some more.

What service pack do you have installed?
Do you have a Virus checker installed?
Has this problem occurred since you have changed anything?
Did you try a system restore already?

i would back up and data i would want to keep and reinstall windows again from scratch. its worked for me.
