I have tried the driver CD that came with the laptop and have also tried the recovery CDs but cant seem to get anything to work. Does anyone have any ideas????

Generally, the BIOS is entered by pressing F1 or DEL or F10 as soon as you turn the computer on.

Some laptops require a bit more fancy ways, but try them first.

Once in the BIOS, don't change anything - and you will see instructions on how to navigate through the BIOS on the bottom of the computer screen.
