Default IE Keeps Crashing

My Internet Explorer keeps going out on me. About 10 days ago I got a new registry cleaner that might have done more than I thought. Everything else works fine, but my IE often 'encounters a problem and has to close'. Sometimes with more than one open, when I try to close a single window, all of them go at the same time. I looked at the small technical report and this is what I got:

Appname: iexplore.exe
AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106
ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.26001217
Offset: 033aed

Anyone know what could possibly be done? I tried uninstalling it from "Add Remove Programs" but I was still able to open webpages anyway. So I removed it again and reinstalled IE but the problem still occurs. How can i completely uninstall IE if unchecking it in remove Windows Components won't work?

Hi Debutante, unfortunatly IE is so thoroughly built into Windows, that it is used as part of the operating system, even though you don't realise it. This is why when it crashes, the task bar will disappear for a few seconds, and then come back and everything loads again.

When you goto My Computer, that's a form of IE, Windows Explorer - same thing.
You can try a System File Check...

Start -> Run -> sfc /scannow
This will scan all your system files and replace any missing/corrupt files.

Aside from that, might I suggest going to another internet browser? such as Firefox?
