So what's happening is, my screen is tinted a light shade of purple. It's not threatening, just annoying. I've tried restarting my computer and uplugging my monitor, shutting off the monitor and all the casual things people would try.
This has happened back when I was using a Windows 98, on a different monitor.
Since then I've reformated my C drive, but if it's a virus it may still be on my other drives.
I'm scanning for viruses right now, but if it's something else, spare me the pain of virus scanning/spyware scanning.
I know it's not my monitor, because obviously, it's happened on my other one.
I have absolutely no clue what this could be other than a virus. My virus scan won't be finished for a while, so it couldn't hurt to ask...
any suggestions?

Hi there and welcome to PCHF
Did you use the "Degauss" option on the monitor yet? Personally, I don't think it's a "PC" issue but more of a problem with either the monitor or the connection from the monitor into the PC. You said you used this monitor with Windows 98...how old is it? Is it possible for you to try the monitor on another PC?
