Default It's A to Z, not Z to A! (Strange problem)

Well, this is my first post here. So, bonjour. (:

I'm currently using a slightly older PC which has quite a strange annoyance. Whenever I open up a browse window to upload or send files (say, to Photobucket, or over AIM), all of them are listed from Z to A. I'll right-click, go to arrange icons by name, and it'll be A to Z again. Fabulous! ...But when I open the window up again? Z to A. It's quite annoying, especially since folders are at the opposite end of where they should be.

When I'm browsing through My Pictures or something of the like, everything is listed normally. It's only in the browsing window when things are backwards.

Everyone I've asked has never heard of a problem like this before. I'm hoping someone can help me out on this nice big forum.

My weird PC and I thank you for your time.

hi Ten Hearts, and welcome to the PCHF!

This is a strange problem....Can you follow these steps, maybe they might help

Open My Computer -> Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> scroll down until you see "Remember each folderss view settings" and uncheck it.

Then select Apply to All Folders at the top
and give it a try
