Did you close all instances of Outlook Express and Internet Explorer and
Windows Explorer (yes Windows Explorer uses the Internet also) before deleting your Internet Explorer history files?

Hi discopants...what methods are you trying to delete these files?

just had to reformat me hard drive yesterday and being a novice dunno whats gone on guys i normally just go control panal and options and delete history? always worked ibn the past but i do seem to remember now a couple of years ago this happened and i couldnt get my history deleted when i hit the button i can see a sort of shimmer as if somethings going on but there stilll there i needd help guys lol cheers for your quick response aswell

net history etc its a **** hard wrist aching job deleting them all one by one i can tell ya mate !! when i reformatted last night i put a trial version of macafee on and search and ddestroy even tried some of those history cleaners that ya can d/load but all to no avail im just wondering i got a virus or spyware or summat when i logged on without any protection ??

lucky for you we have a great detection procedure

Also - there is a program in there called ATF Cleaner which will clean out all your temp files/folders
