the windows update selection doesn't come up. I dont understand, why would it suddenly decide to not work? could it be that I installed a windows update which abnegated the protocals of the previous driver?

It could be many things. Drivers do seem to have a tendancy to, well, drive away. I'll just find you a driver, and will post back with it real soon.

hi, it didnt work i think there's something wrong with it's internal on/off thingy... why else would it freeze when i try to disable it? and then sometimes it cannot start up again either.

is there anything else you could suggest, or is it a lost cause? Thanks for all of your help thus far of course!
