Default Data Discs: Parameter Is Incorrect.

Well recently before I had to reformat my computer I burned alot of files to data discs and now I can't get all of them back onto the PC. One disc said "cyclic redundancy check error" so I cleaned off the disc and it worked. But on a different disc I got that error plus "parameter is incorrect" while trying to copy files from the disc onto the PC. Is there any way to fix this and get the files off that disc?

Thanks in advance.

hey there drOx,

when do you receice that crc check error, when you start restoration or when it completes. crc is an error checking routine. (note : cyclical redundancy check)

Well the files on the disc are music and movies. The computer itself is fine (not sure if I caused any confusion). But it starts copying the file and goes from "20 seconds left" and then goes up to 2 minutes/3 minutes and eventually I get the error.

Are you doing any other heavy tasks at the same time maybe?

How much of your processor and ram is being used while copying?

Nope, no heavy tasks and not much ram is being used up at all. I tried that cdcheck earlier and it pretty much just told me I have damaged data but didn't recover any. I'll try again though. Thanks.
