Default HELP, please!! Infuriating problem

I have the most incredibly annoying problem.

Every so often, the window I'm using will deselect itself and I will have to click the mouse to continue what I was doing. Incredibly annoying when I'm typing or doing any work as I will carry on typing only to look up and find nothing I typed has come up since the window deselected itself. Even more annoying when I'm playing full screen games which get minimised to the taskbar mid-flow.

I'm convinced it's nothing I'm pressing accidentally whilst I'm typing as I've just sat back and watched it happen and occasionally it will reselect the window I'm using after a few seconds. There isn't even a regular time period between it happening - although at the moment it's particularly bad - roughly every 30 seconds. I've an idea there could be a program running in the background which might occasionally select itself but I always have the same background programmes running and occasionally it happens and sometimes not.

I'm running an IBM x24 Thinkpad with XP Pro SP2.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi phall..I've seen this on many computers at many different times.

It can be caused by a couple of things, and most commonly it's just a stuck key on your keyboard. This will sound silly, but can you please open Notepad and them mash all your keys together...

If the "mash mash" doesn't fix it, can you please follow the prework steps located here, and post back the resulting logs
