I'm no computer expert, but when I had the same problem I investigated the processes running at the time in windows by hitting Ctrl Alt and delete.

When I examined the processes closely I noticed a suspicious process which was taking up nearly all of the PC's resources.

I ran a search for the file in windows and found it in the Windows folder. I deleted it and the slowness and freezing went away. I can't remember what the file was called but it was certainly dodgy.

I was running adaware and spybot and norton every week too and none picked it up.

Have a look and if you notice any suspicious looking processes post the name on this site and i'm sure somebody will be able to help you. I would post it first before deleting it just in case.

Hi kshy_69, and welcome to the PCHF.

Your issue is most likely malware related. Problem with malware is that it's getting tricker and tricker in the way it sneaks past all the different programs you've got on your computer...and then trys to disable them and lets lots of others in that would normally be stopped.

But - we have a great security team here, and will be able to help you out.

If you can follow the steps here, and post the result logs - someone will be along shortly to help you out more.
