Default windowa XP professional reintall

I have Installed windows XP professional SP2 (oem pack) a month back and using it since then. Meanwhile I have carried out online updates to windows xp and microsoft softwares like MS office.
My question is How to take backup and restore or reintall the windows xp
and the microsoft softwares with the online updates carried out till date
in case of hard drive failure or sustem crash.

Hi kasinath, and welcome to the PCHF

Backup is done rather easily. There are many programs out there that, do cost some money, but you get piece of mind with them. These will let you select what files/folders you wish to backup and the frequency of which you wish to do so.

Windows updates are another story, I know it's possible, but I don't know exactly how it's done. I'm sure one of the other helpful guys/gals here will be able to answer that one

Here's a link to some backup software to try.
