Hi cannot download anything from microsoft updates free trial Explorer 7 etc.
Error message Not acceptable the requested URL could not be retrieved the requestor is not willing to accept available resourse.this is probably due to an Accept-Encoding header on the request The standard available Content-Encodings are:gzip,compress,deflate and identify
failed Footprint 3.4/FPMCP
whats this all about can anyone help thanks nickonmick

Hi nikon, IE7 is sitll in beta stages so it's expected to have bugs.

The problem you're having is probably related to that, just use IE6 to update windows.

I haven,t got E7 still E6 i can,t download anything from updates etc that unacceptable stuff comes up help

Oh, just you said explorer 7.

Can you set windows to automatically download the updates for you in System Properties?

right click on My Computer -> Properties -> Automatic Updates

This doesn't use a web browser interface, it just downloads all the updates your computer needs.

Already set to update auto, but icon comes {shield} but updates don,t load
