can somebody help me please because i can't install any games or look for programs, except if i go thru start-run ... plz help

Hi Demente One, and welcome to the PCHF.

Can I start by first asking what version of Windows XP you're running (Home or Pro) and are you logged in as an administrator?

Hi, well yea, im running Home and i dont have any user's except my account which is administrator

Hi Demente One, sorry i have'nt replied earlier.

Can you please open My Computer -> View -> Tools -> Address bar

this will give you an extra bar on the top of the window. Can you then type in C:

This should connect you to your main hard drive. It will let you continue doing your own thing until we can figure out why this has happened. My first guess would be malware.
