Default Updating bios

Hello, i am wanting to upgrade my bios version from 1.3-1.6

Motherboard - http://www.asrock.com/PRODUCT/K7VT6.htm

Bios - http://www.asrock.com/support/downlo...del=K7VT6#bios

Well i copy the files onto a floppy and run it on start up. I get a load **** saying about Remove any other disks or media, and restart ( or something along the lines of that ) It doesn't do anything else just keeps saying that. The reason i'm wanting to upgrade my bios to 1.6 because it now

1. Supported Athlon XP 3200+ CPU (Barton core,FSB333)
I have that processor, so i guess i need to upgrade.

Any help would be great.

Try putting the files onto a CD then grab a bootdisk (from our Link Partner www.bootdisk.com) with CD rom support. Basically, any bootdisk that will get you to a CD [d:/e] prompt...so the Windows 98 one will do. Then run the ASRFLASH.exe utility from the CD.

So your saying, make a 98 boot up disk and place the two files ASRFLASH.EXE & K7VT6_1.60 onto the boot disk, then just boot from CD and it should work?

heh, nope...I'm saying boot from a CD enabled floppy and run the file from the CD once you have put them both on there

Basically what Hengis is saying is to boot from a floppy drive that has dos cd drivers on it and run the bios off the cd.

or if you dont want to waste a blank cd, just use 2 blank floppy disks
1 for the boot disk
2 for the bios
