Exclamation Bootup problem

Hi, this is my first post here.
I've got this problem with my pc when i boot up that gives me the message:
Windows NT has found only 0k of low memory. 512k of low memory is required to run Windows NT.
Now I dual boot Windows XP with Vista Beta 2, and have Acronis Boot Manager installed (which i've been meaning to remove for some time as i don't need it anymore).
Now my bootup procedure goes as follows:
  • Bios loads
  • Acronis Boot Manager starts, shows XP as the only selection and defaults to it after 3 seconds.
  • Windows Boot Manager loads with options for either 'Older versions of Windows' (XP) or 'Microsoft Windows' (Vista).
Now if i load XP it gives me the error message. If i load Vista, it runs fine (thats how i'm writing this!). But, if it's talking about HDD space, then i have 3 (2x 120GB and 1x 250GB) and i'm not exactly short of space. If it's talking about RAM then i have 2GB (I used the memory diagnostic tool in the Windows Bootup Manager screen and it didn't find any errors).
So i'm at a complete deadend and i don't know what to do, someone please help!

Welcome to PCHF.

We have already had this error message come up once on the forum: http://www.pchelpforum.com/hard-driv...g-me-nuts.html

Try booting into safe-mode (XP) and then run a FULL system scan and defrag. Post back your results.

Thanks for your reply.
I forgot to mention earlier that i had looked at this post: http://www.pchelpforum.com/hard-driv...g-me-nuts.html
The problem is that i can't boot XP at all, as soon as i select it in the Windows Boot Manager, it gives me the screen with the message:

'Windows NT has found only 0k of low memory. 512k of low memory is required to run Windows NT.'

So there is no chance of booting in safe mode.
