Question Voice Conversation - Microphone Sound

Hi there, i regularly have voice conversations with people on msn messenger. But the problem is i can never hear the person at the other end very well unless i turn on my speakers. But i have a headset microphone and want to have private conversations so i would rather listen by headphones on the headset. But when i listen on them i can hardly hear the person.

I have the volume levels all turned up full for the headphones and microphone but i can't hear the person very well still. Also he has the volume up fully on his microphone.

Please can someone help, thanks

Hi, did you test the headphones in something other than your PC? Try it, unless they are USB of course.

Yes i have tested them in my mp3 player and they are very loud. I have also tried a different set of headphones in the computer and same happens.

Ok, so we know it's a settings issue...

Do this first: Double-click on the sound icon next to the clock in your taskbar. Turn UP all of the sliders and test.
