Welcome blainey, to the PC Help Forums.

Have you already checked in the normal place to uninstall programs?

Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove ??

Ah, I understand .

Right click on My Computer and select Properties.
Advanced
Select Settings under Startup and Recovery
Then select Edit

It should give you some random things, such as

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Windo ws XP Professional x64 Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /usepmtimer
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Windo ws Recovery Console" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /usepmtimer

you want to remove the whole line that says recovery console out.
(I just copied and pasted mine, and i dont have recovery console there, so it may be a tiny bit different).

If you go back to that same place, you can change the amount of time it stays there for. Change timeout to 0.
