Default cdrom.sys is corrupted

Hi,

PC will not boot form cd rom even though it is set to in
the bios. so i tryed to boot from floppy for win xp sp2
6 floppy disks from microsoft website. all goes well until
i insert the 5th disk :gives error the file cdrom.sys is corrupted
any one know a solution for me to be able to reinstall my windows?

Hya Eddie155 , welcome to PCHF.

Have you already tried formatting , and recreating the bootdisk floppies?

And where you able to boot from cd in the past with the same cd and pc?

yes i could boot from the same cd and pc in the past and i
also tryed the cd in another pc and it boots
yes i tryed formatting and recreating boot floppys again
but i still get stuck on disk 5 with the same error message !
also i tryed to use system restore but it seems to be disabled
help plz !!
