Hi guys.......me again.
Im trying to install an MSDOS game onto my p.c but it aint happening.
I went to a microsoft help site that suggested going to start/run/cmd
but when the msdos box opens, it just closes and I get the folowing message
c:/windows/system32/cmd.com
An installationfile required by NTVDM is missing, execution must terminate.
C:/windows/system32/ntio.sys Choose close to terminate the application
Anyone know what I can do?

Yup
You can download a little application called DOSBox, which is a DOS Emulator. It's open source, which means it's free. It's free, and extremely easy to use. I used to use it to play a game called Betrayal at Krondor (best RPG EVER! )http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/news.php?show_news=1

Is this the only way to sort out my problem?
I am having a bit of trouble running the programme. Is this the way that would be suggested? |

Give this a try:
go to start / run and in the run window type in: sfc /scannow >enter Have you XP CD in youre drive, and it'll run itself, replacing any missign or damaged protected XP files.

this has been solved now and can be closed
solution was just to drag and drop the game exe file over the shortcut to dosbox.
