Default [Fixed] Dragging window refresh problem

Hi guys, bonbon again. Ok, so it turned out that I didn't fix my virus earlier, so I backed up what I needed, and reformatted my drive. So now I have a fresh copy of Windows XP Professional Edition Service Pack 2 installed on my computer. The only weird part is that when I drag my windows around, its like the refresh rate is extremely slow or something. It looks the same way as when you drag around windows in safe mode. I don't know what happened. Any advice? I am just a bit annoyed. And I KNOW my computer can handle dragging around windows because it did before I reformatted.

Hi there BonBon.

Sounds like a video driver problem to me. Did you install a driver for youre videocard after installing windows? And did you install other drivers aswell?

If you need help finding the right drivers then please post youre pc's specs.

joe5 is right, it's video card drivers.

Make sure you have installed your chipset drivers before video card though.

Ok, thanks. Lemme see 'ere. I've got a Dell Dimension 8400, Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition Service Pack 2, Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.20GHz 3.19 GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM. My sound isn't working, so here: Audio Codecs, Legacy Audio Drivers, Capture Devices, Media Control Devices, and Video Codecs. Now if that isnt hardware for my speakers here THEY are: Zylux Multimedia Computer Speaker System and my video card is a NVidia GeForce 6400. That is really all I can find out for now, without pulling apart my computer. Did I miss anything?

Do you mean for youre soundcard? Youre speakers don't need drivers.

They list 2 different soundcards/chips for that pc , one of these should be the right one:
(unless you changed the card)

Analog Devices ADI 198x Integrated Audio

Creative Labs SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS
