Default [Fixed] ctrl, shift and del keys not working

hi, for a few months now i've had the problem that alt+ctrl+del wouldn't work, but i didn't think too much of this and instead opened the taskmanager through run. then, a couple of days ago, alt+tab stopped working. pretty frustrating. seemingly the tab key still worked, it was just the alt keys that were broken. i searched everywhere for a way to fix this, and after doing a bunch of stuff, i'm not even sure what anymore though i know i deleted a few registry entries, i managed to get the alt key working again and i could happily alt+tab again. everything was great again, i could even do alt+ctrl+del now and bring up the taskmanager. then i restarted. NONE of the keys worked anymore, not alt, ctrl, del, shift, the entire top row [numbers row] of the keyboard did nothing. well i looked around again, did some things i saw listed for similar [but not completely the same] problems on this forum, and did manage to get the alt keys working again. but the rest is still non-functional. i've already done checks with ewido, avg antivirus, adaware, rootkit revealer. a few things came up, which were taken care of, but the problem persists. i've checked the accessibility settings in the control panel, pretty sure those aren't the cause either. basically i have no clue what it is, but it's annoying as ****. can anyone help me?

If this is a cordless keyboard, try replacing the batteries
If this is a corded keyboard, try another keyboard, either PS/2 or USB...as it could be faulty now.

Ahhh, that did it! I got a new keyboard and just connected it, everything works fine on this one. Very smart of me to not consider it was my keyboard all along, haha. Thanks a lot for the help!
