Can you post some details about your laptop for us?

Also, could you follow the 'prework' imstructions in my sig, and we'll take a look at them.

Ive go some more information on the problem, I now believe that the USB ports are the problem as whenever i put in or take out my wireless internet adapter or sometimes even just touch the part of the wire near the port that is when my laptop just goes off and by off i mean as in when on a pc you take the plug out when you are on it, ill post some info about my laptop tommorrow

Sounds to me like it could be shorting out on something.. most likely your usb ports from the description you have supplied.

If this is the case, the only real thing you can do is to take it into an authorised repairer for your brand of notebook, and have them work on it for you. This is something that can happen on its own, so if it's a newish notebook, then you'll get it done under warranty.

I think it is over-heating, as it gets hot very quick. I know this isnt what is happening but it seems as though the wireless adapter is actually powering the laptop, as before the adapters wire didnt get hot but now it gets really hot. But the funny thing is when i take or put in my USB mouse that does nothing but when i take or put in the adapter its just like taking the battery out when it isnt powered by the mains.(sorry about lack of technical language)
