Default Accidentally deleted an important program

In admist installing an update for an ATI program I had to take the orginal program off the remove list. To cut a long story short it all went a bit pear shaped and now I can't play any of my games. Any ideas how to recover these files? (I've allready checked my recycle bin xD)

Hya PillowMint , welcome to PCHF.

What did you exactly delete? The ATI videodriver maybe?

If yes , then you can download those from here:

No, I've tried that before but it doesn't work.

I'm sure one of you must know how to use the checkpoint feature on this old comp? It seems like the only way since I've messed with my settings aswell.

so what actually happens when you try to play the games? does it give you an error message?

Also, you can try this piece of software for recovering lost files
