Contact the company who made the laptop, be prepared with the model number and the Serial number (located underneath the laptop).
Problem is that I''m in Holland at the moment (where my parents live), but will fly back to England next week. And I can''t do without my laptop, especially not in england where there is no other pc available.

If its a warranty job I''ll probably lose it for weeks if not longer, which simply isn''t possible for me.

I''ll probably go to the shop where I bought it on Monday and see what they can do for me.

Ta for the advice anyways

If you were in Australia, i could point you in the direction of a repair place that supplys temp laptops if needed (for a small fee).

I'm sure they can't be the only places in the world. Good idea to go to the place you bought it from.

A temp laptop would give the same problem though, I''m going back to England on Friday and I doubt they''d let me take it out of the country!

True.

Sorry I can't give you better suggestions. There is the slim possiblity they'll just give you a replacement straight away. Slim.
