Hi, whenever I want to cut or copy a file and paste it into another directory, i get a message saying 'cannot copy filename. access is denied. make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not in use'
This happens to all the files which i want to cut / copy. I suspect that my window is corrupted. Any way I can rectify the problem without having to format back my harddisks?
Also at times when I boot up my system, I do get an error message saying ' CMOS checksum error - defaults loaded' press f1 to continue. When I press f1, windows is loaded. One last problem is I could not start my cpu sometimes and had to wait for about 5 or more minutes before i am able to start the cpu again.
Hope that someone can help me with my problems. Apologised for having lots of problems with my pc.
Thanks.

Hey Shibly!
My welcome to PC Helpforum! First, it's not a problem to have lots of problems, that's what we are here for. Second, can you follow the Prework instructions in my signature? We better rule out malware first, or find this causing the problem. Third, your checksum error, can be caused be low battery: http://www.sun3zoo.de/50/jumper360-detail.jpg The battery is that round and flat thing in the right-upper corner. You might need to replace this one. It can also have other causes, but that's less probable. Fourth, does that mean you can't turn on the PC? Bluefish |

Hya Shibly.
I don't see any malware problems in there. Give this a try: Install and run RegSupremePro. It will want to make a backup of your registry , let it. Once it has finished, click on the Registry Cleaner tab, select Aggressive. When it has completed, click on Select, choose All. Click on Fix, and let it fix everything that it finds. And: go to start / run and in the run window type in: sfc /scannow >enter Have you XP CD in youre drive, and it'll run itself, replacing any missign or damaged protected XP files.
