Hey dudes-
sorry i dont have time to formally introduce myself and have a bit of a chat with you all before pouring out my computer gripes, but that is the nature of my problem: My pc turns itself off if it feels like for no reason, so its a race against the clock to write this!!!

It can go for a few hours, sometimes more, then it just dies. It isnt losing all its power cos the light on the front of my flash-card reader stays on, an i have to turn off the power at the back of the machine an wait for a few seconds, then turn it back on and hit the main power button on the front.

Ive got no virii and everything else seems ok, im guessing its something to do with the power supply but i dont wanna replace it and find that that wasnt the problem (am poor student on the bread-line, need to conserve my money for bread + alcohol etc....) onlt to have to replace something else.

When you say it "Dies", does it just turn off or does it say windows is now shutting down etc.

Are you usually doing something when it turns off, like a game maybe?
