Default Defrag

G/day again all at PCH,

Two questions.

When I run my defrag it gets to 3% then advises me that some files on this volume could not be defraged and to see report for details.
However the report shows me nothing about files that did not defrag?
I have 60 GB of free space left on a 80GB Drive and a file system NTFS.

The comp is also networked, with the other comp having share rights to this, the Primary comp.

This is the first time that this has happened.

Part two .
When I got to properties of my HDD in the general tab there is a check box to compress drive to save disk space.
Would it be advisable to check the box for ok or just leave it unchecked, that was a question out of more curiosity than a problem

Ok thankyou again for your time.

Andy

System:
Pent 4

80GB HDD

The files that can't be defragged are not a serious issue.
Compressing an entire HD is NOT RECOMMENDED-- I've even seen it cause windows to need reinstallation. It is also unnecessary with 80 GB of space.
