Default Microsoft Explorer/Internet Explorer (I think) Problem

Um, hi.

Hardware:

I have a windows XP Professional Home Edition, Dell Dimension 8400, a 250 gig SATA hard drive, and some other things that are nice, but I don't really know what they are. All I do know is that I have a crapload of memory, and 256k roadrunner wireless internet.

Software:

I am currently using Bit Defender 9 Professional Edition for virus protection and Spyware Doctor 3.8 for spyware protection. As for my firewall, I use the regular windows one, and the one that comes with Bit Defender.

Anyway, onto the problem:

Ok, so like about a month ago, my comp had a huge :o virus that I, could not get rid of. So I brought it to the Geek Squad at Best Buy, and it took them a week, but eventually, they had it all fixed. Now, about 3 days ago I got the ZLOB trojan and some other annoying spyware. I've had the same spyware before, so I got rid of that easily by doing the same thing I did last time. But I THINK I got rid of the ZLOB trojan. Anyways, today, after coming back from my lake house, I realized that I left my computer on. I turned on the screen, and saw that the ZLOB trojan had installed some more trojans and **** (the other trojans and stuff were installed automatically, and named as a program "Spyquake", which is a rogue "anti-spyware" program, which contains more trojans). So I got rid of that
by using my Bit Defender and my Spyware Doctor (and I might say, they did the job quite efficiently). Everything was working fine.
Then I went to www.wincustomize.com so that I could check on all the cool stuff I could use to make my computer a lot cooler, and I saw that under news they had posted something about Aston Shell something or other. Anyway, after a little backround research of it, I decided to give it a shot. It installed fine, and when I ran it, I was a bit confused at first. But eventually, I got the jist of it, and checked out the "skin"-like thing that Aston was. I decided I didn't really like it too much, so I changed the setting back so that it was the normal Windows "shell". Everything was working fine, until I noticed that my Internet Explorer wasn't working. So I decided to open up the "My Computer" icon on my desktop. Then, everything on my screen dissapeared, exept for the wallpaper. Once everything reapperared, nothing happened. I mean everything still worked, everything was there, but "My Computer" hadn't opened up. I repeated this several times, and even restarted my computer several times, but nothing happens. Any suggestions?

By the way: Sorry for typing such a long paragraph, I just wanna make sure I fit everthing in.

Default Ok, I'm sorry guys.

Okay, nevermind. The computer just did a physical dump of its memory, and now everything is all right. But let this be a lesson for all yall, just be patient, at least for a certain extent, if you are sure it isn't a virus. Also, don't leave your comp on over the course of 2 days after it has been infected by viruses the week before (also meaning, don't leave it connected to the internet). Alright, thanks anyway, go ahead and close this thread or something, because I guess I solved my own problem.
