when i go to control panel>display>Settings>Advanced> The rows of tabs to configure my display are all gone. The only tabs left are General, Adapter, Monitor, Troubleshoot, Color Management. I installed rivaTuner and 3D-analyze last night and i wonder if there are the root of the problem because i can't play any game right now without them flitching and lagging horribly.:o I can provide screenshots and more explainations of the problem, im at my wits end please help me!

Welcome to PCHF. First things first, , relax. We're gonna help you figure this out.

Now, before we do a whole lot of other trouble shooting, uninstall the rivaTuner and 3D-analyze. Make sure they are completely gone, reboot the PC afterwards.

Next, (I'm guessing you are running XP?) Put your CD in your drive, and click on Start, Run, type in
sfc /scannow
Hit Enter. This will look for and replace any damaged or missing system files. Then post back here, and let's see where we are at, OK?
