This is annoying i can't seem to get my microphone to work.
The volume in the volume control is up to max, the microphone is plugged in the correct slot, the mic is turned on, and it is set as the device.
What am i missing? Is there something i haven't done?

Hi Zendithos,My welcome to the forums, I don't believe that I've had the pleasure. Is this a new mic or one that you have had? Has a mic worked on this PC prior to this? Can you give us the specs on this mic, and your PC? Thanks. Looking forward to your reply, TTFN LGW

Some new information:
It appears that the microphone works on my brothers accouint on the same computer, but still does not on mine :S. Could this be a sign to what the problem is, or just make it harder to figure out? Both accounts are administrator so no differecnce there. I'm really frustrated with this problem and want it fixed. |

Hi Zen,Curioser, and Curioser. LOL. OK, that's actually good, it means that it's a setting on your account, and not the driver or the mic. Now the trick is, to figure out what is keeping it off. Other sound is working fine? If you go into Control Panel, and look at the Sounds and Audio devices, that is the microphone listed? Have you checked all settings in the Sound/Audio Properties against your brother's? Looking forward to your reply, TTFN LGW

Hey Guys,@GarHar, he would be talking about the "User" account. Please do not post unless you have something relevant to add to a thread, we do not give tech points based on the number of posts. I appreciate your desire to help, but if you can't add anything, please leave the thread alone. Thank you, Lady Green Witch Senior Staff Administrator @Zen, I am looking forward to further information. Thanks, TTFN LGW
