hello all !!!!!

I wasnt sure where to post this thread so I stuck it here ...my apologies !

I have a dell latitude ls h400t notebook , p3 400 mhz 128 mb ram 12 gig hd running xp pro ...anyway I use this unit for college and other small apps and consider myself rather "computer savy" but this is stumping me, my hd space is slowly disappearing @ one point I had about 7.35 gig free with the OS installed and now only 1.27 gig is free within 1 months time I have ran defrag disk cleanup, deleted cookie , temp ie files and unwanted programs I dont use.I use it for documents , net and pics and im rather obssesed with keeping all my pc's @ optimal speed , does anyway know of windows tweaks or software i can purchase to regain my space ??

Thanks so much !!

Hey Fiz'iks,

Welcome to PCHF. No problem on not knowing where to put your thread, I will be happy to move it for you.

Now on to your more pressing issue, there are lots of reasons for the symptoms you are describing. It could be a malware infections (darn those rlms ), or it could be that your registry is bloated, etc., etc..

Let's start by ruling out malware, can you please carefully follow the instructions for PreWork in my signature, and make sure to post back both the ewido, and the HijackThis logs back here. Thanks,

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN
