Default [Resolved] Microsoft Mouse Detection

Sometimes, when I log into my Windows XP (home) account, the mouse doesn't work. I have to get down under my desk and unplug it and plug it back it. It's not always, just most of the time.

It's a standard (black) Microsoft USB, 3 button mouse. My motherboard (incase this might be a driver issue, for usb support) is the DFI Lanparty Ultra-D (n4).

It worked fine with my old mouse, now with this new one, it has the trouble.

My guess:

Windows, being the busting-apart-at-the-seams-with-junk, and overflowing with hardware support issues OS that it is, is not having enough time to load the mouse properly on Boot Up. Just a guess though.

Thanks for any help possible!

Sorry it took me so long to get back.

I tried out the PC with a macally-ice-mouse. It worked fine, after several shutdown and boot ups and quite a few reboots. Windows must have just been getting bored with the MS mouse. Actually, that explains it perfectly!

It's M$'s new plot. You have to entertain XP with new hardware every now and then. That'll keep their partners happy.
