But, I'm posting this on behalf of one of my friends. I'm going to his house later today to try and remove that AIM/MySpace virus running around. He caught it, and did all the usual things(IE: Virus Scan, AIMFix, etc) and couldn't find anything. He logged out and now he can't log back in. The desktop image appears for two seconds and then the entire computer shuts down.

I'm thinking of just doing a complete reformat, but I was wondering: Are there any other ways of being able to remove this virus?

Here you are, but my computer isn't the one with the problem, it's my friends. And we can't even log into that one....*shrug* But here you are anyway.

That log is clean , but that is to be expected when it is not from the infected pc ofcourse.

Does the other pc still boot in safemode? (hit f8 when booting up)
