Hi there XPto95win.

A downgrade to win95 is not possible , you would have to do a complete fresh install of windows 95 im afraid.

Have a look here for win95 installation instructions if needed:

http://www.windowsreinstall.com/win9...exfullpage.htm

But if you dont mind me asking , why would you want to go back to win95 from XP? Do you need it to run a specific piece of software or anything?

Hi there,

If you're trying to do what joe5 suggested, running a specific piece of software, you can easily fix that without erasing your HD to install Win95.

Just right click the file, hit Properties, go to the "Compability" tab and select "Run this program in compability mode for" and select "Windows 95" and hit Apply and OK and it should work

Cheers

Yes there is old motor tuning software that seem not working any other than Win95. Yes we have tried XP´s compability and it doesn´t work.

If have tried this method.
- I made Win95 boot floppy
- used that to fdisk and format HD
- restart and tried run install from orginally Win95 setup disk,
but everything seeem goes well until after sortly after "SW licence agrement" when it star instalation it freezed.

Any new tips ?

Well, after you get into the GUI part of the installation you should be home free. Can you explain more in detail what your describing (star installation freeze)? If it just froze, restart and try again.
