Ok, My problem is that I was stying to edit the file it is a "wtf" file (no joke) and, I chose to open with on notepad. The problem is I forgot to uncheck the 'always use this application option and so now it has messed up anything that uses that file type can some one please help me get it back to normal?

Hey Erik_J!

Just right-click the file and select: Open with...
You can now set it again.

well its was an ' unknown file type' before and I dont know where I would find a unknow file at but, thanks for your reply.

Ah that's why. Well I don't think you can change it back to unknown, but perhaps other members have suggestions.
How did you get the file at all?

Its A World of warcraft file for servers I was trying to change it to join a different server and well yeah I messed up and now my Pc is messed up like crazy

Why is it messed up?
The file is still the same file, or is it no longer recognized by WoW?

If you go my computer/tools/folder options/file types and scroll down to .wtf and press advanced then you can select default there.
