hi,
i am trying to install windows xp again after a hardware problem, i switched the pc on and i was told to insert system disk so i did, windows whent through the"installing drivers" etc, it then selected "install a fresh copy of windows" option.i then deleted all of my hard drives contents as i had not data i wanted to save. createed a partition, formatted and then was told that after re-boot installation would continue, after re-boot it did not continue,instead it whent through the whole process again...... please help me install windows again...

Hey chrismeister!
Welcome to PC Helpforum!

After you have formatted the disk, and some files are copied to it, the installation restarts the computer.
You should not boot from CD anymore then, simply set your BIOS to boot from harddisk.
Once it boots from harddisk, it will continue the installation.

how do i set itto boot from hard drive? i think ive done it and itsays it wants me to insert system disk... it also says that my hdd is disabled?! help?! thanks chris
