Windows XP/2000 - computor is rebooting on its own posted in the Operating Systems forums; i am running window xp and on june 4th my computor started rebooting on its own. WHen i tried to run a norton antivirus scan it freezes up on me...

Default Memory test

Hi Goose830,

Welcome to the PCHF,

Ok lets start a couple of tests, firstly the memory.
download the test from here
http://www.memtest86.com/
and run the memory test to make sure the RAM is ok.
Please could you let us know what make/model your hard drive is so we acn sort out the right software to test that with.
