Hi guys, well while at a friends house, he couldn't get online while looking in network properties I saw the network card not there just a blank space, so I connected via usb to his modem then the network card was there as well as the usb connection, unplug the usb, network card dissapears again..

He blames the modem, me well I thought the network card would be there no matter what,

my question is why would it suddenly go..


next question, the Pc I'm on at home came with no XP disk, I have rang the company who say ermm yes its in the post, that was in jan, so can I make a back up disk of XP in case this PC crashes and how..

Im not the hardware expert, and I dont know the solution to your problem, but Im sure one of our tech specialists does, and will help you as soon as possible!!!

About the second question, no it is not possible to create a windows xp disc from your pc, but I think its legal to copy a windows xp cd, if you have a license for windows xp. Maybe one of the other users/staff member knows exactly what is legal, and what is not. Please post if anyone has any usefull info!!!
