Default [Fixed] Delete unused from System Conf.Utility listing?

I have successfully turned off [unchecked] more than a dozen unneeded "helpers" from the system Startup [tab]. Now how do I remove the no longer needed entries from the unchecked listing?

Quite a few no longer exist on my hard drive since the cleanup, but the names still show up here. What will it take to remove then?

John

hey 19john28 u can download regsupremepro and do an agressive scan and it will remove any invalid entry in registry and will also delete anything that doesn't exist from your system startup tab too

see ya around

Thank you for your suggestion. But since I did not feel I had a need to add to my Registry cleaning tools. I passed on regsupremepro.

Looking a little further I got some help and found MSConfigCleaner, a small free tool that does the exact job I wished to do.

Look here: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/msconfigcleanup.html

I quickly and safely removed the no longer needed files from the listing in the "Startup" tab
