Default CD Drive Dialog Box

I used to get a dialog box when I inserted a CD or DVD but not anymore...I go to windows explorer. I have tried changing the settings in my computer but it doesn't change. I am talking about the dialog box that comes up in autoplay in the properties menu for the DVD drive. I wish to have this back but nothing is changing it back to that. Any help would be appreciated.

I downloaded the autofix.exe file and ran it. Checked the log and then checked the registry to make sure the changes were made. They were, but didn't change anything....DVD's and CD's still open in windows explorer. Any other suggestions for this. I manually changed the player in the properties box but that didn't do it.

hey oceancity

you can go in regedit and go to this key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\CDRom and go to autorun and change the value to 1
let me know if that helps

looking forward to your reply

That was okay and I restarted the computer but nothing is changing. This is really a big pain.
