Default [Fixed] Double-click problem

Hello all, I have this problem since a couple of days. Whenever I double-click on a folder to open it I get the "Search Results" window that opens up. I tried clicking with the right mouse button and I see that the first item is "Search" and only underneath it you have the "Open" option. How can I get this "Open" to be on top so that the double clicking works regularly? Thanks, Z2SSA

Hey For Windows XP - open the 'My Computer' icon and click on the Tools menu, then on Folder Options. Make sure "Double-click to open an item (single click to select)" is selected. ?

Download this file:

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs...penssearch.reg

double-click the file to run ... windows and/or your firewall will ask if you're sure. click yes to merge file with your registry. Done.

You may have to reboot to finsh the process. The file is perfectly safe --it's from Kelly's Corner-- she's a Microsoft MVP I have used her regedits & tweaks many times. She has so many--that finding the right one can be tricky.
