Default [Resolved] Help

Well I was maitenencing my computer and everything deleteing unsed programs and such, and my windows media player icon is gone and I dont know how to get it back, but songs will still play in there and my playlists still exist. How can I get the icon back.

Hi, spkid18, let me first warmly welcome you to PCHF.

With regards to your problem, you go to the "start" button, then press the All programs, then find the Windows media player button on it, however do not double click it, just click AND drag it over to your desktop, thus the icon of the windows media player will be shown on the desktop. Hope that helps.

Allright, what i mean was you go to the Start button and then press it, go to programs, find the button called Windows Media player, just left click and drag it over to your desktop, and the icon will show on your desktop.

Oh, yes, this has happened to me before (except with 'calculator'). Once you drag it out of the All Programs menu, it's gone. Are there any other users on your computer (assuming you have winXP) that have the icon? If so, you can use the Windows Search to get the icon...
