Exclamation *sigh* PLEASE help me :(

today i decided to wipe my VAIO laptop, however, i stupidly wiped the partition using a fresh Windows XP install rather than using the VAIO utility provided, when XP finally loaded i had absolutely NO graphics drivers!

i am SO sick of trying to scroll down a page and it taking 5 minutes, i need help, desperately!

i tried using the sony vaio downloads section, i downloaded ALL the pre-installed drivers, i got two video folders, video1 and video2, neither had executable files to install graphics, and when i tried using "update drivers" from device manager, the wizard didnt recognize either folder. It just says Video Controller (VGA Compatible) in the device manager....

how do i fix this?

OS: Windows XP Home edition
Chipset: Sony VAIO
Model: VGN-FS285H

Hey Skitter, welcome to PCHF!

Have you tried to use Windows Update (windowsupdate.microsoft.com)? It will detect your hardware and tell you if there's an updated driver availible for you (in your case it will probably show the video drivers you need).
