connection: 64 kbps cable modem, connects through ethernet
OS: Windows XP
messenger version: 7.0.0816
so, at first, out of the blue, i was not able to connect to my messenger nor any web related to msn or microsoft (hotmail, msn and so on), my messenger gave me the "80072efd" error and refused to work. I tried every solution, sincronizing the date/time, some funny dunnowut.dll thingys you put in the "run" thing and the press ok, my firewall is set to allow msn to connect, everyother thing connects (bittorrent, limewire, irc, firefox, IExplorer... as long as the web has nothing to do with msn), i ran an antivirus scan that turned up with six infections which were all deleted and still msn refused to work; i have everysingle windows update. today i went to school and used the wireless they have there and it worked without problems, i was able to login and check msn webs including hotmail. once i returned home and tried again i was once more unable to login but this time it shows "81000306" error bragging something about the connection, i checked the advanced properties and all is set as should be (according to that jonathan dunnowho from microsoft), appart from that i checked my tcp connection on "tools - connection - advanced options" of the msn and works perfect, as i said, i've tried EVERYSINGLE option provided in EVERYSINGLE post i've checked for the past two days, so, could you plsease tell me what the hell must i do? (formating is not an option XD). besides it is most obvious i do have an internet connection because im using the same pc to write and post this question and at the present time msn still refuses to work. help, please *.*

Yeah - its beta
It seems really effective though - no real bugs that I've noticed and it runs alot better than my old msn did. You ever try it Blue? |
