Yeh i know but!!!!

Hi all
When my pc boots up i get a screen that tells me that my copy of windows xp pro is not genuine. I know it is'nt (please dont tell Bill).
I also get various indicators and warnings telling me that i could be a victim of counterfeiting (gulp).
I am aware my copy is not genuine and do intend getting a genuine one in the not to distant, but for now is there any way i can prevent these messages appearing ?.

Hi Stan,

As per the forum rules we cannot tell you how to lose that message. Only advice we can give to you, is to invest in a genuine copy mate.

Hey there Stan,

Unfortunately there is no way of getting rid of those messages and if there was we would not be willing to discuss it on this site.

I also get various indicators and warnings telling me that i could be a victim of counterfeiting (gulp).

The problem with not having a genuine version (apart from it being illegal) is that you can't download the latest windows updates which help prevent these sort of issues.

I recommend that you go out and purchase a license (as soon as you can) and if you have any other problems when activated feel free to ask us.
